This [internet] technology will be helpful, to get information easily.
In that way it will make clear what is truth, what is reality and what
is false propaganda. I think that provided each individual
uses their own intelligence or mind to investigate further,
this technology should be very useful.
-
I think technology may have some benefits for a smart brain,
but [it has] no capacity to produce
compassion.

New Tibetan websites
At least three (probably more!) Tibetan websites
have rolled out to celebrate the birthday today of
His Holiness Dalai Lama.
A new site,
Exile Lens: Frames for Tibet
(exilelens.com),
"is an endeavour to widen the limits of the Tibetan freedom struggle by providing an interactive site for images that render the story of the Tibetan people as seen through the eyes of Tibetan photographers".
Two other sites have unveiled major re-dos:
Tibetan Government-in-Exile
(tibet.net),
and
Kalon Tripa 2011 Intiative
(kalontripa.org).
Find a huge directory of all Tibetan websites at

News that affects the Tibetan IT world.
Tibetan Luozang multilingual digital electronic pocket gadget - a product review
at Phayul
5 october 2009
"The appeal of this Tibetan handheld gadget is its Tibetan-ness. There is truly a Tibetan keyboard, perhaps for the first time, and the default displays are in Tibetan. ...
The feeling is that you are holding a Tibetan gadget, a Tibetan hardware, a product of indigenous innovation of strong yet very subtle native aspirations."
